This Privacy Policy explains how iSafarri ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the iSafarri Android browser (package name isafarri.browser) available on Google Play. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. The information we may collect falls into the following categories:

Information you provide directly — for example, your email address if you contact support or submit a deletion request through our website.
Locally stored browsing data — your bookmarks, browsing history, tab state, search history, site permissions, and AI chat history are stored on your device by default. We do not upload this data to our servers.
App diagnostics and crash logs — anonymous performance metrics and crash reports (collected via Google Play services) that help us fix bugs and improve stability. These do not include browsing content.
Device information — limited technical details such as device model, OS version, and app version, used only for compatibility and debugging.

2. How We Use Information

To provide and improve core browser functionality.
To respond to your support, feedback, or data-deletion requests.
To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance.
To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your browsing history or AI chat content to train any machine-learning model.

3. Third-Party AI Tools

iSafarri gives you quick access to third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. When you interact with these tools inside the app, your prompts are sent directly to the corresponding provider and are subject to their own privacy policies. We do not host or store the contents of those interactions on our servers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Like any browser, iSafarri stores cookies, cache, and site data from the websites you visit so they work correctly. You can clear this data at any time from the in-app settings.

5. Permissions We Request

iSafarri only requests permissions required for browser functionality, such as Internet access, storage (for downloads), and optionally microphone/camera access if you use voice search or upload media on a website. You can revoke any permission from your Android system settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information with:

Service providers (e.g. Google Play Services) that help us deliver, distribute, and improve the app.
Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process.

7. Data Retention

Locally stored browsing data stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Any data you send us directly (e.g. via the deletion form or a support email) is retained only as long as needed to fulfil your request or as required by law, and is then deleted.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account or specific personal data — you can do this at /delete-account.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

iSafarri is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website.
